Family Traditional Music Sessions
Presented by Glengormley School of Traditional Music
Glengormley School of Traditional Music, in association with MayWe and Belfast City Council, is delighted to present a series of daily children's and family-friendly traditional music sessions during Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
Held in welcoming venues across Belfast city centre, these open sessions celebrate Irish traditional music in an inclusive and supportive environment for children, young people and their families.
Led by local young musicians and supervised by experienced tutors and staff from Glengormley School of Traditional Music, the sessions provide an opportunity for participants of all abilities to play, learn and connect through music.
Session Format
Each session runs for 2 hours:
- First Hour – Suitable for beginners and lower-intermediate players
- Second Hour – Suitable for more confident and experienced players
Beginners – bring your notes!
Musicians – bring your repertoire!
