Folklore & Nature Walk at Colin Glen Forest Park

Join Belfast Hills Partnership for a unique guided walk through Colin Glen Forest Park as part of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Belfast.

Led by Judy Meharg, Conservation Officer with Belfast Hills Partnership, this special walk will explore the flora and fauna of the park and their connections to Irish folklore and tradition.

Meander alongside the Colin River as you discover the rich cultural and natural heritage of the area, learning about the stories, beliefs and customs associated with the landscape and its wildlife.

Along the way, participants will also pick up basic identification skills for common native trees and plants, gaining a deeper appreciation of the natural world that has inspired generations of storytellers, musicians and communities.

Explore the meeting point of nature, folklore and heritage in one of Belfast's most beautiful green spaces.
