Nestled at the foot of the Belfast Hills, Colin Glen Forest Park is one of Belfast's most remarkable natural and recreational spaces, offering more than 200 acres of woodland, rivers, waterfalls, grassland and walking trails on the edge of the city.
Once an important part of Belfast's linen industry, the glen is steeped in history, with traces of former flax mills, mill races and stories dating back centuries. Today, it has been transformed into a thriving destination where nature, heritage and outdoor adventure come together.
Visitors can explore scenic woodland walks, discover waterfalls and wildlife, follow Ireland's only official Gruffalo Trail, or learn about the area's rich industrial and cultural heritage. Often referred to as "Belfast's Green Lung", Colin Glen offers a peaceful escape from the city while remaining just minutes from the centre.
