Van Morrison's East Belfast

Van Morrison is undoubtedly Belfast’s best-known musician and among the most-distinguished musicians of our times. Come on this gentle two-hour walking tour, with Creative Tours Belfast, to explore Van Morrison’s East Belfast. Van released a new album in January this year, Somebody Tried to Sell Me A Bridge, and continues to tour extensively. This walking tour explores the area Van Morrison grew up in. You will see the street he lived on as a young boy, the parks he played in, the primary school he attended, The Hollow, and more, as we walk streets and see spots that you’ll recognise the names of from his lyrics.

The tour will also reference the area’s industrial heritage. Music clips will be played along the way. Guests will each receive a copy of the ‘Mystic of the East’ booklet.

Please meet outside Café Nero at the EastSide Visitor Centre on Newtownards Road ten minutes before the start time. The tour will conclude back there too.
