The Half Room
The Half Room is a collective of singers and musicians who grew up with the songs they perform, bringing together some of Ireland's most respected voices in contemporary folk and traditional music.
Although the group is relatively new, its members are acclaimed artists and accomplished singers in their own right, united by a shared love of song and a deep connection to traditional music.
The ensemble features the evocative vocals of renowned Dingle singer Pauline Scanlon, alongside the velvety richness of singer-songwriter Nicola Joyce from the celebrated Galway trio The Whileaways. Their harmonies are beautifully balanced by the earthy authenticity of vocalists Eoin Wynne and Fabian Joyce.
Song at the Centre
With minimalist guitar arrangements and subtle ambient accompaniment, The Half Room presents folk music in its purest and most intimate form.
Their understated approach allows the songs, stories and voices to take centre stage, creating performances that are deeply moving, richly textured and emotionally resonant.
Rooted in tradition while embracing contemporary expression, The Half Room offers audiences a powerful celebration of song and harmony.
A beautifully crafted exploration of folk song, where exceptional voices and timeless melodies take centre stage.
