MOIRO Stage
Music of Irish Origin
Presented by Smashing Buttons, the MOIRO (Music of Irish Origin) Stage is where traditional and contemporary artists come together for a two-day, genre-bending celebration of musical heritage.
Expect explosive combinations of Trad, Rock, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul, Techno, Punk and Blues, as artists explore the sounds and influences that have shaped music across the island over the last 80 years and beyond.
The MOIRO Stage celebrates tradition not as something fixed in time, but as a living, evolving force that continues to inspire new generations of musicians and audiences.
Featured Artists
Guiding audiences through the programme are the Trad Folkin' Rocks crew, showcasing some of the most exciting emerging talent from Northern Ireland.
The programme includes:
- Njambi, whose poignant and powerful vocals have captivated audiences across genres.
- Paul Rose, celebrated guitarist and a favourite of the late Rory Gallagher.
- Dark Tropics, returning from their BPI-funded tour of Ireland and closing the evening with their spellbinding blend of cinematic alternative pop.
Hosted by Neal McClelland
Hosted by Downtown Radio presenter Neal McClelland, the MOIRO Stage explores the many ways tradition can be preserved, reinterpreted and shared.
Blending heritage with innovation, the programme creates an inclusive showcase that honours the past while embracing the sounds of today.
Where traditional roots meet contemporary creativity in a celebration of Northern Ireland's ever-evolving musical story.
