Blackwater Céilí Band
The Blackwater Céilí Band hails from the Clogher Valley in County Tyrone, at the heart of Ulster's rich musical tradition.
Formed in 2015, the band has quickly established itself as one of the leading céilí bands in Irish traditional music, earning a reputation for its drive, precision and distinctive Ulster sound.
A major milestone came in 2018 when the band won the Senior All-Ireland Céilí Band Championship at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Drogheda, becoming only the third Ulster band in history to achieve this prestigious title.
An Award-Winning Ulster Sound
Since their All-Ireland success, the Blackwater Céilí Band has toured extensively throughout Ireland and Britain, bringing their energetic and authentic style to audiences far and wide.
Their debut album, Music in the Valley (2019), was followed by Northern Landscape, with both recordings receiving widespread acclaim for their musicianship, arrangements and celebration of Ulster's musical heritage.
Returning to the Fleadh
Performing at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is always a highlight for the band, but this year's event carries particular significance as Belfast hosts the Fleadh for the first time in its history.
The band is looking forward to sharing its music with an enthusiastic home audience and celebrating this landmark occasion alongside musicians and visitors from across Ireland and beyond.
