Confirmed Tutor - Edel Ní Churraoin Step into the rhythm of tradition with our Sean Nós Dance for Kids masterclasses.

Tailored specially for younger dancers, these high-energy and engaging classes will introduce children to the basics of Sean Nós, Ireland’s oldest style of traditional solo dance. Through a mix of lively steps, rhythm games, and creative movement, Edel will guide participants on a joyful journey through footwork, timing, and musicality – all set to the pulse of traditional music.

Each session will begin with a fun warm-up before diving into simple steps that build in complexity over the course of the week. Edel’s warm and encouraging teaching style helps every child find their rhythm at their own pace. From learning traditional steps to adding their own flair, kids will gain confidence, coordination, and a deeper connection to our music and culture.

Whether your child is a complete beginner or already loves to dance, these masterclasses promise a vibrant and inspiring experience – full of fun, friendship, and feet flying to the beat! Level: All levels welcome – no previous dance experience needed

An end-of-week student/tutor concert will take place on Friday 31st July in Ulster University at 4pm.
