Musician, songwriter, storyteller, poet and dreamer, John Spillane is one of Ireland's most beloved and distinctive artists. Rooted in people, place and story, his songs are rich with imagination, humour and humanity, transporting listeners through landscapes both real and imagined. John's latest release, Fíoruisce – The Legend of the Lough, is his most ambitious work to date and was awarded Best Album at the 2025 RTÉ Folk Awards. This acclaimed concept album weaves together folklore, mythology and song, bringing to life a richly imagined world through music and storytelling.
