The Fleadh's Gig Rig Daytime Programme brings the energy and atmosphere of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann right into the heart of Belfast city centre.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Belfast City Hall, this free outdoor concert series showcases an exciting mix of national and international performers, featuring traditional music, song, dance, céilí bands and large ensembles.
Throughout the week, audiences can enjoy performances from Comhaltas branches and visiting artists from across Ireland and around the world, alongside youth orchestras, community collaborations and outstanding local talent. With a packed programme running daily, the Gig Rig offers a welcoming and accessible way for everyone to experience the richness, creativity and infectious spirit of Ireland's living traditional arts.
The Gig Rig will offer performances from 11:00am to 11:00pm each day, with a full line-up and stage times to be announced soon.

Peter Street
Peter Street are an exciting new force in traditional Irish music, combining youthful energy with exceptional musicianship.
Whether performing lively reels or soulful ballads, the group brings a fresh perspective to the tradition while remaining deeply rooted in it.
The ensemble features:

Mec Lir
The tempo rises with Mec Lir, whose signature blend of traditional music and contemporary energy has made them one of the most exciting live acts on the folk circuit.
Known for their electrifying arrangements, foot-stomping rhythms and huge sound, the genre-defying quartet combines exceptional musicianship with infectious energy.

Breen, Rynne & Murray
Three of the most respected musicians in Irish traditional music come together as Breen, Rynne & Murray.
The trio features:
- Tara Breen – fiddle
- Pádraig Rynne – concertina
- Jim Murray – guitar
A regular touring member of The Chieftains, Tara Breen has won almost every major All-Ireland fiddle title. Pádraig Rynne is widely recognised as one of Ireland's most innovative traditional musicians and composers, celebrated for his explorations within and beyond the tradition.
Jim Murray, often described as Sharon Shannon's right-hand man, has performed and recorded with artists including Sinéad O'Connor, Steve Earle, Shane MacGowan, Altan and Mary Black.
Together, they bring world-class musicianship, creativity and musical chemistry to the Belfast stage.
A spectacular Saturday showcase featuring rising stars, genre-defying innovators and some of the most accomplished musicians in Irish traditional music today.
