About

The Four Corners Flute Orchestra brings together diverse players from across the island to create and perform music together. Young musicians from a wide range of backgrounds have come together for the first time to explore and develop a wide range of musical styles together, including traditional, world, classical, and contemporary music.

Combining forces with flute players primarily from Belfast, Derry, Donegal, Limerick and Cork, this group showcases the pride and passion for one of the islands most symbolic instruments.

Led by four partners from across the country (Aisling Agnew - The Flute NI / Sarah Murphy - Wall2Wall Music / Oisin McGill - Limerick School of Music and Paul McCusker - Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble) this new initiative aims to create a new flute orchestra that is inclusive of styles, experience, background, and location. Musicians have the opportunity to create new musical meeting points together, while celebrating the rich diversity of flute-playing, and explore it's meaningful and evolving role in the city of Belfast.
