About
Join Femina Culpla for a poetry reading and panel discussion on 19th century working class women’s voice. Femina Culpa is a poetry collective, featuring Milena Williamson, Linda McKenna, Emma McKervey and Kelly Creighton. All of our work revolves around historical research and archival materials, and in the gaps in the records we find poetry. The main focus of our collections has been on working class women caught up in the criminal justice system of the 19th century, the cultural and media attitudes towards these women, with the uncovered narratives taking us from Tipperary to Staten Island, London to the Outer Hebrides.
