Sabina McCague from Co. Monaghan is a highly regarded multi-instrumentalist, equally proficient on harp and fiddle. Introduced to traditional music through the fiddle playing of her grandfather, James McCague, she began studying at an early age under Monaghan piper Eamon Curran, who provided her with a strong grounding in the tradition. Sabina holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music and Drama, DIT, and has performed at festivals throughout Ireland, Europe, and the USA.

Pádraig McGovern hails from Ballymagovern in the Cavan–Leitrim border region and has lived in Monaghan town for over a decade. Taught by renowned Cavan piper P.J. Flood, he has become one of Ireland's most respected uilleann pipers. Pádraig has performed and recorded with numerous acclaimed artists and groups including Peter Carberry, Ryan Molloy, Lúnasa, Dervish, Téada, Gatehouse, Steve Cooney, John Carty, and Dónal Lunny.

Together, Pádraig and Sabina recently launched their duet album, The Starry Lane to Monaghan, a collection of tunes that reflects their shared love of Irish traditional music and the friendships, places, and experiences that have shaped their journey together as musicians and as a couple.
