Ceol na nGael celebrates the powerful connection between traditional music, song, dance and the Irish language in a special concert bringing together some of the finest artists working in the tradition today.

Set in the heart of Belfast's Irish-language community at Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, this unique event combines exceptional musicianship, sean-nós dance, song and storytelling from artists deeply rooted in place, heritage and creativity.

Featuring legendary performers alongside some of the most exciting contemporary voices in traditional arts, Ceol na nGael offers a vibrant celebration of Ireland's living cultural traditions.


Featured Artists

Mary Bergin

Widely regarded as one of the most influential tin whistle players in the history of Irish traditional music, Mary Bergin transformed perceptions of the instrument through her landmark recordings Feadóga Stáin 1 and Feadóga Stáin 2.

An All-Ireland champion, her playing is celebrated for its clarity, precision and lift, inspiring generations of whistle players throughout the world.

Piaras Ó Lorcáin

From Crossmaglen, County Armagh, Piaras Ó Lorcáin is one of the most distinctive young voices in contemporary sean-nós singing.

Immersed in music from an early age, he has developed a deep connection to the Irish language and its rich oral tradition, earning recognition for his expressive and authentic performances.

Macdara Ó Faoláin

A bouzouki player from An Rinn, County Waterford, Macdara Ó Faoláin is admired for his innovative approach to accompaniment and his ability to bring fresh harmonic ideas to traditional music while remaining firmly grounded in the tradition.

Becky Ní Éallaithe

A sean-nós dancer from Conamara, Becky Ní Éallaithe is known for her distinctive rhythm-driven style and strong connection to the musical traditions of her native region.

She represents a new generation carrying forward and reimagining the sean-nós dance tradition.

Kaitlin Cullen Verhauz

Born in New York and now based in Dublin, Kaitlin Cullen Verhauz is a cellist and vocalist whose work spans traditional, folk and classical music.

She has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall and is also a member of the acclaimed alt-folk ensemble Saltaire.

Mairéad Hurley

An All-Ireland Senior Concertina Champion from Ballymote, County Sligo, Mairéad Hurley is a highly respected performer and educator whose playing is deeply rooted in the Sligo tradition.

She has performed internationally and recorded the acclaimed album The Truckley Howl alongside John Blake and Nathan Gourley.
