About
UNTOLD: The Museum
UNTOLD: The Museum is an ambitious new museum project that will explore the stories of Irish men and women who served in the British Army over the past 350 years.
Drawing together collections, archives and personal histories from across the island of Ireland, the museum will examine themes of identity, service, family, conflict and community through the lives of those who experienced them firsthand. The project aims to present these stories in an inclusive and accessible way, encouraging visitors to engage with a complex and often overlooked aspect of Irish history. oai_citation:0‡Museums Association
The museum will be developed across two sites in Belfast and Enniskillen, with the Belfast galleries planned for a restored historic linen warehouse on Bedford Street. Through exhibitions, archives and educational programmes, UNTOLD will create opportunities for people to explore shared histories that cross generations, traditions and communities. oai_citation:1‡Museums Association
