This drop-in workshop focuses on flower and plant printing, creating beautiful keepsake artworks inspired by the local landscape and the spirit of the Fleadh. Participants will experiment with natural pigments and dyes made from flowers and plants, learning Irish vocabulary connected to nature, colour and emotion while producing a unique piece to take home. Welcome to Seachtain na Gaeilge at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026Here you will find information about the range of Irish Language events at the Fleadh, between live music, storytelling, TG4, history, street entertainers and much, much more. Don't miss it! Seachtain na Gaeilge creates a cultural space where an Ghaeilge will be central to the Fleadh. There will be events for young and old in this space. In this space, Irish will be heard naturally and people will be able to use their Irish in the restaurants etc. Irish will be heard from the stage with music from the Gaeltacht or from musicians who have Irish central in their music. We will attempt to bring music from the other Celtic countries to add to the experience and to add to this 'language space'. These are the 4 aims of Seachtain na Gaeilge are: To increase the use of Irish during the festival and to create opportunities to use the language/to create an Irish Language Environment.To improve the visibility of Irish within the community and festival and to create language awareness.To build cooperation and to improve awareness of the Irish Language and Irish Language activities in the festival and in the community.To improve Irish Language skills of individuals and create learning opportunities.

Tinteán Tinteán is an intimate live music series inspired by the warmth of house concerts and late-night sessions. Curated by Brendy Loughran, it brings together exceptional folk and traditional artists in cosy, close-knit spaces, creating memorable experiences that celebrate connection, community, storytelling and the rich tradition of live Irish music. Rooted in the spirit of gathering around the fire, Tinteán offers audiences the chance to experience outstanding musicians up close in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

An Chéad Ghlúin Eile With Special Guests The Unprepared An Chéad Ghlúin Eile (ACGE) are acclaimed sean-nós singers, native Irish speakers and sisters from the Gaeltacht. Étáin and Máire Ní Churraoin first came to national prominence after winning the TG4 family talent competition Réalta agus Gaolta in 2019. Since then, they have performed on stages throughout Ireland and internationally, sharing traditional Irish and folk songs through their distinctive vocal harmonies and deep connection to the Irish language. Their debut album, Cá'il an Bheirt?, was awarded Album of the Year 2025 at the Nós Awards, further cementing their reputation as two of the most exciting young voices in Irish traditional music. The sisters regularly appear on television, including The Reluctant Traveller with Eugene Levy (Apple TV), Nationwide (RTÉ) and Bláth na hÓige (TG4). They also served as Culture Night Ambassadors for Ealaín na Gaeltachta in 2022 and actively promote Irish language and culture through their social media platforms. Special Guests: The Unprepared Support on the evening comes from The Unprepared, an energetic trio centred around Irish and Scottish traditional music. Drawing inspiration from the spontaneity and excitement of traditional music sessions, the group adapts and arranges tunes for the concert stage while leaving plenty of room for improvisation and musical exploration. The trio features: David Lombardi – fiddle Jean Damei – guitar Sam Mabbett – accordion David and Jean met while studying on the BA in Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, where they formed the band Fourth Moon. After relocating to Glasgow and meeting Sam Mabbett, the three musicians developed a close musical partnership that ultimately led to the creation of The Unprepared. An evening celebrating the Irish language, sean-nós song and contemporary traditional music from some of the most exciting performers on today's folk scene.

Susan has travelled across Ireland having conversations with musicians, dancers, singers, researchers and archivists gathering stories from the rich and complex world of Irish music, song and dance. NOTIFY Featuring Special Guests Séamus & Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta NOTIFY are a six-piece contemporary instrumental ensemble based in Ireland, renowned for their innovative approach to traditional and contemporary music. Formed in 2014 following the success of their debut album NOTIFY in 2013, the group has established a reputation for ambitious compositions, exceptional musicianship and exciting cross-genre collaborations. Their most recent album, Airneán, released in 2024, was named Folk Album of the Year by The Irish Times. Well known for their high-profile collaborations, NOTIFY have worked with an impressive range of artists including Séamus & Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, Tyler Duncan (The Olllam), Niall McCabe, Mark Lettieri and Jason Thomas of Snarky Puppy, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and Kris Drever. Special Guests: Séamus & Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta Siblings Séamus & Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta hail from the Gaeltacht region of Connemara and are celebrated for their sean-nós singing and distinctive arrangements of songs in both Irish and English. Their 2022 performance of the haunting lament Anach Cuain captured the attention of audiences around the world, while their work as multi-instrumentalists continues to place the Irish language and their cultural heritage at the heart of everything they do. In 2023, they released their debut EP, Séamus & Caoimhe, produced by Brian Whelan and Bill Whelan, composer of Riverdance. In 2024, they were awarded the RTÉ Folk Award for Best Emerging Artists. An evening of contemporary folk innovation, exceptional musicianship and powerful traditional song from some of Ireland's most exciting performers.
