On May 12, 1997, Seán Brown, a devoted father, tireless chairman of Bellaghy GAC and friend of Seamus Heaney was abducted from the club grounds and murdered in a killing his family has always described as state-sponsored. For almost thirty years, his widow Bridie and their six children have waged a dignified campaign against official obstruction for truth and a public inquiry. This is the story of one man’s good life, a community’s loss and a family’s unyielding fight for justice in the long shadow of collusion.
