About
Gig Rig Closing Programme
Sunday 9 August | Belfast City Hall
The final day of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026 brings an extraordinary week of music, song and dance in Belfast to a close, with a packed programme of performers taking to the Gig Rig at Belfast City Hall.
Among the closing day's highlights is Bangor-born singer-songwriter Foy Vance. Signed to Ed Sheeran's Gingerbread Man Records, Vance is renowned for his gritty vocals, emotive songwriting and acoustic-driven sound, and will take to the stage as part of the Fleadh's final day celebrations.
The programme continues throughout the evening with performances from The Bow Brothers, Knockmore Céilí Band, Campbell College Bugles Pipes and Drums, and a special performance of Each Time the Song is Sung.
Later in the evening, John, Zoe, Louise & Michelle Mulcahy will be joined by acclaimed dancer Edwina Guckian, before the closing speeches mark the culmination of a historic week for Belfast.
In a fitting finale to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026, the Gig Rig will welcome the newly crowned winners of the Senior Céilí Band Competition to the stage for the festival's closing performance.
After a week that has brought musicians, dancers, singers and visitors from across Ireland and around the world together in Belfast, the final night offers one last opportunity to experience the passion, energy and extraordinary talent at the heart of Ireland's living traditional culture.
